How Seamless Aluminium Gutters Are Made and Installed
Seamless aluminium gutters might sound fancy, but the process behind them is surprisingly clever and efficient. If you’re thinking about upgrading, here’s a quick look at how they’re made and fitted to your home.
Made On-Site – Cut to Perfect Length
Unlike standard gutters that come in sections, seamless gutters are formed from a single piece of aluminium. And the best part? They’re made right there on your driveway or outside your home using a special machine.
Here's how it works:
We bring a roll of flat aluminium coil in the colour and finish you’ve chosen
The coil feeds through a machine in our van or trailer – this shapes it into a strong gutter profile (usually half-round or ogee)
The machine cuts the gutter to the exact length of each run on your roof
No joins, no off-cuts, no waste
It’s fast, tidy, and made-to-measure on the spot.
Why “Seamless” Matters
Because it’s made in one continuous length, you won’t have any joints along the gutter. That means:
No leaks
No weak spots
Much lower maintenance over time
It also looks much neater, with smooth lines that match the shape of your property beautifully.
Fitting the Gutter to Your Home
Once the gutter lengths are made, we move on to installation:
The gutter is Direct Fixed to your Timber Fascia board at 450mm c/c to keep it in place, sloping slightly to guide water towards the downpipes
Downpipes are added, connected securely to ensure proper drainage. These come in many styles of Aluminium or we can offer UPVC downpipes with Seamless gutters to provide a budget friendly option.
The whole system is checked to make sure water flows perfectly and everything’s tight and tidy
We take care to leave no mess behind, and the whole job is often done in just one day, depending on the size of your property.
